I think that it is very interesting and sad that the mutant bird flu strain has been spreading since 2003, and even though we thought it was over, now it has come back. This shows that even if just a few birds have mutant bird flu strain, it can spread to many birds. I guess that is how epidemics start. The article doesn't say anything about what exactly mutant bird flu is, what causes it, or what happens if a bird has it. I think that it is also kind of interesting that a sickness for birds can also be spread to people.
