This is a really interesting article, and I'm happy that video games are good for you, because now I have an excuse for my parents! The strange thing is though, it is impossible to win, it just goes on and on and the enemy gets stronger and "smarter" until a second one is added.
This article was very interesting. I am glad that video games are good for you. It is interesting how Tertris helps improve your brain. Also how shooting games can help you multitask! I can see how puzzle games can help you though... I always thought playing video games hurt your eyes, not improved your vision. I thought it was odd how they said learning a language or playing a sport MIGHT give similar effects, because it is obvious that those to things are a lot better for you then playing video games. They also said that video games are social, but it is better to talk to people in real life then to talk to them on games, for safety reasons and because in real life, you actually know the people you are talking to .I think it is true that video games have more benefits than we give them credit for, but there are still much healthier things to do.
I think it is so cool that gaming can actually help you. It's nice to know that we can prove adults wrong. Games can actually help you socialize about what score you get and get you to be creative.
I think it's really cool how video games can actually help the brain. It's really funny how we can kind of, in a way, prove our parents wrong. The Tetris video was really awesome. I just don't understand how he can go so fast!
I never knew that some video games can actually help you in life. I think it makes sense that Tetris can help you because the point of this game is to fit blocks together and not touch the top. You need to be really alert to be good at this game.
Another surprising article! My parents always told me the "myth" that video games are bad for you, and they limit it and stuff. Now I have an excuse! Back to the article; I really enjoyed Jack's game and it kept getting harder and harder. I always thought that video games made your brain go to mush and made you less social. Although the social part was mostly true, video games do not make your brain go to mush, and many games actually make you gain better reflexes. I also did not know that violent games help you with analyzing info. My parents always made me not able to play violent and bloody games. One of the downsides in video games though is that they always hurt my eyes. I still think that too much video games is bad for you, though.
I really like this article because it is really interesting. I have. I'm glad that video games are good for you. I really support this website and what it is saying. In fact I'll start right now on Vitamin G.
This article was really cool! I always believed that shooter games would make you violent, and I was really surprised when they said it helped you be able to multitask. After I played Jack's game and I answered the division problem, it told me I was 6.95 seconds faster than my first answer. Wow!
This article was very interesting. I am not a big video game person so I had no idea what I was doing. I would never think they could help improve your brain. They also improve your vision, when I always thought it hurt your eyes.
That's so amazing! I, like many other people, always have thought that video games were bad for your brain and made you anti-social. This article proved me wrong. I wonder if there are some games that don't help your brain as much as others. I also wonder if certain games help you more than others, and those are the ones you should play. Overall, this was a very interesting article.
I think that its very cool that video games are actually good for you, and I love being right, so this article is perfect for me! I think that this study is very interesting, and I have no idea that he could go so fast!
This is cool that video games can help you! I've always thought this, though, because most video games are good for your reflexes. It does make sense that Tetris can help reflexes, since you have to be alert and make sure that the bricks don't reach the top.
Wow! That is really cool. I think that they put an easier problem the second time. At least that's what it was for me. The first problem I tried was 6 / 30 and then I had 4/12. Maybe, for some people the last problem is harder then the first problem.
Video games have pros and cons, like any other thing. Until I read this article, I had only seen the cons. Now after reading this article, I see the pros as well. The pros are that they make your brain quicker, and in some cases more logical. However for games like Tetris, I don't see how it will help you with your creativity and social interaction. The cons are that yes, they do hurt your eyes. Also, obsession is a high factor of video games. Too much of something is almost never a good thing. Even too much of something that helps your brain is bad. Then you wouldn't go outside and do something physical.
This is an interesting article. Maybe only some kinds of video games are good for you, or good for only certain people. I don't think it is black and white or video games are good for you or bad for you. I'm sure there are components that say they are good for you and components that say they are bad for you. I agree with Nate that there are healthier things to do than video games. I see how in a certain situation video games can be good for you. It's not like your sitting and watching tv because there is some interaction and thinking that has to go on when playing a video game. I don't think you should play video games too much just because they can have some good effects.
I think that it is very interesting that video games can be good for you. But even if they are good for you, playing them too much is probably bad for you. I always think that it is funny when a lot of people think something and teach other people that something, when it is actually completely wrong. That is what happens with video games. So many people think that they are bad for you, and parents tell their kids that video games are bad for you, but really it is the complete opposite, because video games are good for you.
I think this article is part-true. I think some video games are good for you, but not all of them. It makes sense that tetris is good for you because it involves a lot of concentration. I always thought that shooting games would make you more violent, and give you violent thoughts, but I guess not!
Awesome!!!!!! I had everybody in my family play this game and it made all of them do the division problem much faster. As I said in my other comment, it could be that the problem is easier. I played the game twice. The first time I played I got the division problem faster, but when I did it my second time I did the problem slower. I think that it is so interesting that when you have played a game of concentration, you do math faster. Maybe, we should start telling our math teachers to let us play games before we do a page of math! (:
It’s unusual to read an article that says video games are good for you. But this article is not balanced and there’s not enough research to back it up. Although I think there are advantages to playing video games, there are definitely drawbacks too. For example, some kids spend too much time playing video games when they can be doing other things. The article admits that “learning a language or playing a sport might have a similar effect.” I think there needs to be more research about video games.
I think that it is really interesting that video games are good for you. For me jack's video game really worked. I answered in .43 seconds less than the first time. They should let us play games before a test.
I think that this article is interesting and 100% right. I am a huge gamer, I play lots of games of a lot of the genres they mentioned, first person shooters, puzzle games, all of that. Video games have heightened my awareness and peripheral vision because since I like to play first person shooters, you have to use peripheral vision to see opponents and be very aware so you can see if someone is hiding in a place where you can't see them. Also, the fact about the video games are not antisocial is right also in the way that most video game consoles have online services that allow people to text and voice chat which is very social. I think that all of this article is true, and that the author makes a good point and has lots of proof.
This was a really interesting article. The game was really interesting. I got faster the second time. I think it was because I was expecting the problem

Sorry. I didn't get to finish my first comment.

This article was cool. I always knew video games were good for you! It does make my eyes hurt, but tetris doesn't! I liked Jack's game.

Wow! I never knew that playing games can help you! There is a game similar to Tetris.

Yes, but that video was strange, how could someone have such fast reflexes for tetris?
