The idea of aliens living somewhere in the universe seems a bit far off to me. There have been many studies that there is no water on any other planet that we know of. But scientists know strong facts about only one galaxy. We know that there are more than one galaxy. We have claimed that all living things need water. So there could possibly be other life in the great "Star Garden." Possibly next year this could be a debate topic.

I pretty much agree with what Chaz said, but there is water on the moon. He said there is no water on any planets we know of.

Chaz, I really agree with you. I mean life on other planets sounds a little bit odd but then again there are different galaxies and we only have true evidence of life on this galaxy so maybe our planet is another galaxy's
earth.

I don't really believe in aliens, but I do understand why people could come to this conclusion. After all, there is a lot that we don't know, and this might be one of them. I am not saying that there are no aliens, and I'm also not saying that there are. I just don't know. I understand people's evidence, such as the Nasca Lines. I don't know how those lines could have possibly gotten there. Maybe it was the work of aliens, or maybe it was just pure, pure, coincidence that they formed pictures of things that we know of today. I thought the article was really cool. It really made me think about the different pieces of evidence that make people think aliens exist.

I think that aliens DO exist however far away they might be. As scientists have only found things in this galaxy, and the universe stretches almost indefinitely, there's a good chance that aliens do exist. If the slightest of hard evidence is found on this planet, we would be sure that they exist and that their technology is more advanced than ours. Of course, we haven't found them and they've found us. So I come to a conclusion that no one knows. That's why I feel this is a good topic to blog on.

When it comes to hard evidence, we haven't found any. All we've found is artifacts and other things that may have a connection to aliens, but is not confirmed. For the topic of UFOs, there have been many reported sightings of UFOs, but chances that ALL of these reports are true are slim. Probably about 30-40% of these are true and the rest of made up. Of the sightings that are true, I think that many may have a perfectly rational explanation that don't involve aliens. However, if only one sighting is of a UFO, it will be confirmed that aliens are real.

The point of my last post is that just one piece of hard evidence would turn there might be aliens to there definitely are aliens. I feel like there are just as many people believing in aliens as there are not believing.

It is very interesting that some people believe in Aliens. I personally don't. That's why I don't understand why people think the Aliens built the heads on Easter Island or the Puma Punku. I wonder how that is possible. Not saying it is totally not true. Their are signs that have shown ( the signs of Aliens.) Also, UFO'S for instance. Those could be things from different planets or the UFO'S could just be things from the military and from the Government. ( they could not be telling us things...) It is whatever you believe because both sides of the stories could be true. Like Chazzy said , it would be a great debate topic.

I personally don't believe in aliens. I think that the idea of aliens existing is kind of like the Greek/Roman myths. They explain things that don't make sense to us. It's kind of like the way that the myths explain things like earthquakes, volcanos, and other natural things. We don't have any for sure evidence or facts, so for now, the idea of aliens is just pseudoscience. But it is kind of freaky to think that aliens might exist out there somewhere...

I don't think that aliens had helped ancient people. People that lived long ago were capable of painting great works of art and the building of the Roman Coliseum, so why not the statues on Easter Island? Also we have no evidence of alien bones in areas where, for example, we have found ancient Egyptian towns. It is possible that aliens exist though, because water has been found on the moon and planets like Mars, but we have no proof.

I definitely think that there is life in the universe besides us, wether it is smarter or just tiny micro-organisms. However, I don't think that if life on somewhere other than earth exists, it would be so close to ours. I think it would be unimaginably different than ours. Flying spaceships is too close to what we do.

I love talking about aliens because they are really interesting and a fun topic to discus.

aliens are pretty freaky and look completely weird and disgusting.

I agree with Kevin that there is a good chance that aliens exist because the universe stretches infinitely. I watched this documentary I think was called Ancient Aliens, and it said that aliens and the gods are the same thing.

Ethan said...

The documentary also said that the gods traveled to Earth by warping through space and arriving at different sites with weird magnetic fields such as the Bermuda Triangle. It also said that Mount Olympus was a type of spaceship. Also, it said that gods came to Earth to breed half-god, half human hybrids such as centaurs, but they accidently breeded monsters, so they destroyed the monsters and left Earth.

That is very interesting. With almost all of this evidence, it's hard not to believe in Aliens. I wish I could see some counter evidence. Most of this stuff was just weird things that native tribes couldn't possibly have built or done, and If there were an explanation for one, they probably will be an explanation for another. (By explanation I mean other than aliens) Many people have claimed that they saw a U.F.O., and that makes me wonder why absolutely none of them have gotten a good picture that I know of. Although, we have to be really careful about pictures these days.

For centuries, it seems that anytime people find something unexplainable on earth, like Easter Island or the Nazca Lines, they wonder if it was made by aliens who visited the earth. The universe is huge, and there probably are other planets with living things out there, but it's hard to believe that aliens visited the earth and built these things. They were probably made by man.

This is very interesting, but in the mythology I read it showed there were circular vimanas, the scouts, and the larger, triangular Rukma Vimana, or battleship.

I need to agree and disagree with Chaz because I think that aliens are not possible to be in the universe but I don't think it's impossible. Scientists have found that there was oceans on Mars.

I personally think that aliens do exist but not in the persona that people think of them as. In my opinion the whole, "green skin, antennas, flying saucer" thing is a stereotype. We have little to no proof of what aliens look like. They could look exactly like humans, they might not have eyes, they might be shaped like apples. Anything is possible since we have no evidence. Also, aliens can be any living thing, a single cell organism, anything, they might not even have cells. That means size might vary. They might be an inch tall, or 100,00 feet, we don't know. Things like the Nazca Lines could've been built by humans a long time ago, and have no evidence left behind. I don't think people should jump to conclusions about things like this. I think this is one of many "they are among us" sites. Also, I looked at another page in the site called "abductions" and saw spelling mistakes, formatting mistakes and lots of pseudoscience, which leads me to believe this might not be the most reliable source. Overall I think aliens are a tough topic because of lack of evidence, and no human has the right to make conclusions about their existence, size, communication or anything.

Personally, I doubt humans have ever come in touch with aliens and the whole idea seems like a giant myth to me. I agree with what Nate said, by saying that if humans built the Colisseum why wouldn't they build the statues on Easter Island? I think it is possibly that aliens could survive in galaxies trillions of light years away, but we may never know. Scientists are making breakthroughs on if humans can survive on other planets, and in the near future we may be able to. Overall, I think that humans have never been in touch with aliens, but I think they make exist somewhere in our universe.

Max said...

Even after reading this article I still doubt that aliens existed. I would need some real proof such as photographs or a live alien to believe in such a dramatic thing. However, It is still possible that aliens exist, since the universe is so large, it is possible that another planet is in the same position that earth is in and has developed life forms. I think that the stuff about green skin, razor guns, and saucers aren't real. The thing I found most interesting in this article was the Nasca Lines or Pascals sarcophagus. It was cool that ancient civilizations were able to paint a spaceship before they were invented this wonder was the most convincing thing on the whole page. The second most convincing thing on the page was the Nasca Lines, either the Nascas guessed the way to draw the drawing or they had help from above. It is impossible for the Nascas to have invented their own airplane so either aliens or they guessed. Another possibility for the alien debate is that someone from the future invented a time machine and traveled back to ancient times and help civilizations build the wonders of the world.

I don't approve of the idea that aliens exist in our galaxy. Maybe the people who drew the paintings of "aliens" believed in flying gods and prophets. They also could have seen flying creatures and then changed it a little. Even if they do exist, we have know idea of how they look like. Just like Joe said, the flying saucer and the weird antennas and size are unpredictable because we don't have any evidence.

Molly said...

I think that there could be life somewhere, but like Joe said, the "little green men" and "flying saucers" and all that is basically a stereotype. Actually, the man who first saw what we now refer to as a "flying saucer" did not call it that because of its shape but because of the way it moved "like a saucer skipping across water." But people grew to think that he meant the shape and started claiming that they saw saucer-shaped spaceships. However, it's possible that they thought that these were characteristic of a flying saucer and so made up that they had seen saucer-shaped spaceships. I don't think people have really seen any UFOs, although these ancient things could have been made by other life.
