Wow. I have never seen this before. Did you guys know that their are about 2 cats born like that every 3 years? I can't believe that it is even possible for this to happen for a cat.

This is a freaky cat. It's funny how they named it for each face. These janus cats are really rare and is born very rarely. These cat's are only supposed to live for about two or three years. Now, this cat is old for a regular cat. It is so sad that the cat is blind, but for a two faced cat, it lives a pretty good life. I loved this article.

This article is very interesting. I have never seen anything like this before. I think it is cool how they only have one brain, and that they only eat the food of one cat. Unlike the twins in the last article that had 2 brains.

Wow... I've seen a picture of this cat before, but I always thought that the two eyes in the center worked. It kind of makes since that they don't though, because it would be really hard to move both of them when they're connected. I wonder what the cat would of been like if both the mouths were working, and why does it have only one brain and one stomach?

OK. This is weird, sad, and slightly just slightly not really funny. At first I was like, "Why did they name the two faced cats Janus?" Then I remember about the Roman god with two faces. I am happy that Frank and Louie have a loving owner to take care of them. I wonder which head is named Frank and which head is named Louie.

This was really cool, interesting, and freaky. I have heard of the janus cat before, but I have never seen it in a picture before. Like Ryan said, its cool that it has one stomach and brain. I always thought that it would be two heads connected at the neck so it had 4 eyes, two mouths, so on. Also, its very nice that even though the cat is freaky, they like Camille said, have a loving owner.

That is a very touching article, especially to me, because I really like animals. I can't believe they were going to euthanize that cat! I bet the cat is very happy with his life and owner because she loves him so much! This was a very interesting article and thank you to whoever posted it because I really liked this article!

Woah... that is really weird and really cute at the same time. I think it's really nice how even though it looks different, someone still loves it just as much. I think it's really cool how will just eat from one of it's mouths, and it doesn't have two different personalities. I also think it's cool because it has lived longer then most cats, and it has two faces! I also thought it was cool how the faces were distorted into each other.

It's so sweet that someone would take in a cat that would have otherwise been put down. I think that it's amazing that Frank/Louie lived so long when he wasn't expected to. I know that it sounds weird, but this cat actually looks kind of cute. I wonder how this defect is made possible.

In mythology, Janus was the two-headed Roman god of gatekeeping. So it makes sense that a Janus cat would have two heads

Wow! A cat with two heads! I thought this was really cool that this cat ate out of only one of it's mouths, and it had no other disorders. This was really cool!

Frank and Louie is actually one cat, not two, since he has diprosopia which caused his own face to be duplicated. He’s not two cats that were fused together. He is lucky his owner was working at the animal hospital when he was brought in to be euthanized and saved his life. She even had to feed him from tubes for three months. Maybe his mother wouldn’t feed him when he was a kitten because he had this problem. I’m glad he’s healthy and living a long life.

I thought this was really cool because most Janus cats don't live for very long. I think this lady is very kind because she rescued a cat with two faces. If she had not, this cat would have been killed most likely. I read another article about this cat, and the owner said that when she takes her cat out for a walk, people see an adorable cat and bend down to pet it, and then their expression change to horrified to when they see his face. It is pretty creepy. Part of the reason it survived is because it can only eat out of one mouth. Almost all Janus cats eat out of both of their mouths, and this increases a choking hazard, but since this cat can only eat out of one mouth, it is easier for him.

This article was very interesting. I thought that it was very interesting that the cat only ate out of one of its mouths and only had one stomach, so it ate just as much as a normal cat. I wonder what would have happened if the cat had two brains. Then, it would be like there were two cats that were stuck together, but since they only have one brain and one stomach, and they only eat out of one mouth, it is like one cat with two faces. I think that it is so nice that this cat has been living for just as long as a normal cat, even though it is a special kind of cat that doesn't live for very long.

It's so sad that this cat sort of has two faces. I'm glad that only two of the three eyes work, because that would be one confused cat! Thank you Marty, for rescuing Frank and Louis! I think it's clever that the cats that are born like that are called janus after the Roman god that had two faces.

Are there humans that have this disease? I've definitely never seen one.

I think it is really interesting that Frank and Louie have survived for so long. Most cats like that don't live very long at all. I wonder if that cat knows that is it very rare, or if it even knows that it is unusual. I am also very curious what questions the owner of this cat is asked, like why she chose to adopt a cat with three eyes, instead of a normal one. I agree with Chloe, this cat has a pretty good life, for a cat that has two mouths and three eyes. I think it is really sweet for the owner to take a cat in and love it as much, despite what it looks like. She probably gets a lot of weird looks when she is out. One of my cats has six toes. It is really wierd, because cats usually have five toes on their front paws and four on their back paws, and my cat had six toes on one of his hind paws. Some people would get kind of creeped out when they saw this. I can only imagine what people say when they look at Frank and Louie.

I wonder if the cat can see farther to the left and to the right than most cats because its eyes are farther apart than most cats. That would be really cool if it could

I think this is a very touching story. This cat was luckily adopted by a woman, who gave him a second chance

I have never seen something like this before. A two faced cat? It is really cool that someone would take the cat in and love it just as much as other cats. It is interesting that they only have one brain and they only eat as much as one cat. It is really cool how long this cat is able to live and that now the cat is going to be seen. I liked this article.

I am so happy that this cat has a loving owner that will take care of it. I have never heard of a Janus cat before, but I have heard of Janus the Roman God. He has two faces and is the god of indecision. It is really a miracle that this cat has lived so long. I wonder who it's vet is?

Caroline said...

Wow! That is so weird. That cat is lucky that it survived! Its other face doesn't really work so its brain won't be messed up so that is good. This cat is even old for a regular cat. This cat is cool because it is so weird!

The subject of the article was unusual. I never thought that I would see a cat with two faces, but better a cat than a human, right. In addition, I thought it was funny that the owner gave the two faces different names, Frank and Louie. I am glad that it only has one stomach and one brain, that would have made it really freaky!

Samantha said...

I think that this was a hapless article. I feel so bad that the cat has two faces. It is a good thing that the cat does not realize that is unusual. I never know that 2 cats were born like that every 3 years, which Julia said. It is so sad. :(
