This was an easy Salmon dissection because you only had to click on the screen. I would have liked it better if I could actually do it. I did like how I could go through the process of taking out different parts of the fish's body. I did not understand the part with the siphon, and how you had to inflate the swim bladder.
This was very interesting and easy. Like Esther said, this was very much cleaner, and like Samantha said much easier because you only have to dissect it using your trackpad. For some reason, even though I cut the belly, it kept saying I didn't which was VERY frustrating. I think I like it better on the computer because it is a little bit gross in real life and its way cleaner on the computer too. :)
This was a very amusing dissection. I noticed that its stomache and other parts was very tiny, probably because it is a smaller organism than a human. I agree with Amanda and Esther about how it was much cleaner and easier than a real dissection. I also agree with Samantha about the fact that you need to pump the swim bladder to cut it out is very weird.
This was really easy. I don't know why someone would want to dissect a salmon though. I was surprised to find out how small the stomach was though. I kept trying to take out the intestines, because I thought that they were the stomach, but it wasn't. I also couldn't figure out why you needed to pump up the swim bladder to cut it out.
That was super easy and really gross. It would be more fun to do it in real life, though. Ms. Ghazarian, you should have a LEAP class next year where we would dissect a different animal every time, like you did with the grasshopper. I didn't understand the point of popping the swim bladder, either. I wish it would have taught me a little more.
The dissection was great but there was no point in the experiment. What could this salmon have that's so special? I think that the concept of dissections is an anachronism.
This was kind of fun... They didn't actually teach you anything about the different parts. I didn't actually learn anything from this, other than the names of the body parts of the female salmon. I don't know what the function of the different parts are. I would enjoy the dissection much more if they had some information, at least just some fun facts, about exactly what you were doing.
I think this was really fun, but they didn't explain what everything in the salmon does so I don't think it is very informative. We had a knee surgery virtual thing and that was much more informative. In all I think it was interesting, but I would have liked to have learned more.
This was fun. I have gutted a fish before with my grandpa in Colorado. Let me tell you, this was much better than the real thing. I wish I could learn a little bit more about the salmon though.
That was interesting! It was a little too easy, though. I also think they should have told more about the what the parts of the salmon did and exactly where they were located, because they did not really tell you anything besides what to do. There was also no way to make a mistake, which I did not like.
This was interesting but it didn't really teach me much. It was fun, but I think they should have explained it more. It was a little bit gross. You had to get everything perfect to move on to the next step and sometimes that was a little bit frustating.

It was kind of interesting, definitely cleaner than the real thing.

Very realistic. I almost barfed when I did it, but at least now I know what to do...

I think it was cool and showed you a lot about dissecting. I agree with Ryan and wish they could have taught us more about the salmon.

Dissection is kind of gross. I wonder how doctors can live with opening up patients and treating them.
