Oh my goodness! There are so many animals on the list. It would be really cool if we could help the animals and make that number a lot smaller. We could stop cutting as much trees down, which are part of the animal's habitat. We should also not dump waste in the ocean, because animals could get stuck in that trash and possibly die. Save the animals!
And that's just all of the animals. There are plants too, you know, and they are a much (x1000) more plants (figure of speech, not actually 1000 times more plants on the list).
I thought that is really crazy that all of those animals are endangered. I think we can help them by finding them, tracking them, and making laws about no hunting them.
Wow. Cooper, in your post you said that extinct animals were all killed extinct doesn't mean that they're all dead but that there is a microscopic amount left of the species.
It is amazing how many animals are endangered (a bad amazing.) I know that, for the polar bears, we can all help by carpooling to school, or even if we live close enough, riding our bikes! I think it is awful that most of this is our fault! We can also try to use products that are not tested on animals. Some of those companies are cruel to animals, testing unsafe products on them. Some of these products are shampoos or conditioners. I noticed that, under M, there were so many animals from Madagascar that were endangered! I think that this year, we should do something to help some of the animals that are endangered. Maybe that could be our focus for the year?
I am pretty sure that this Endangered Animal List touched many people. Which is funny because we are the ones killing them. I guess many people are killing them because they unaware of how they are killing them. I think we should have a list that tells everyone about how we are killing animals. For example, Sinclaire said that we should stop cutting down trees, that would be one of the first ways that we are killing animals.
Even if we start cutting down trees, there will not be enough left of the species for them to them to mate enough to have them back to a healthy amount. Ava, you said that we should bike to school but even if we were close enough, many of the streets coming to the school lack stoplights.
Wow! there is so many! It took me a minute to get through the a's! That's not right. That's just a good reminder not to ruin there habitat. I agree with you Sinclaire, we shouldn't dump trash in the sea, and we can try our best to help these creatures! If those are just the animals, we need to really try hard! there are so many things we can do to help them. I hope this makes a big influence on everyone who see's it!
Wow... this is NOT good. There are so many endangered animals and just like Caroline said, it took a while just to get through the A's. This is terrible that humans have been polluting the earth and endangering 10801 (from the website) species of animals. We should do like an eco-friendly project or something... The forests where most animals live should be protected by law, the oceans should not have trash thrown into them. All the animals need help!!!
I agree with Ava D., that we should put up a "Save the Animals" campaign with school. However you guys, on the list there are only the vunerable, endangered, and critically endangered animals. However, there are still tons of animals that are EW, or extinct in the wild. They are kept in zoos around the world. Someone mentioned that we can stop cutting down trees to help these animals, but the truth is that we have already cut down so much that the only thing that we can really to is plant more trees. Also someone else said that we could put up laws for not being able to hunt these animals, but there already are. It's that people don't follow them. However, if you are caught hunting one of the species on the list, you would get in America a 250,000 dollar fine and an arrest (how long you stay in jail depends on what species you are hunting and how endangered that species is).
10,801!!!!! That is a lot of endangered animals! =[ We can help ones on the list by doing everything digitally so that we don't use so much paper and waste trees that some of these species live in. We should also use canvas or reusable grocery bags and metal or reusable water bottles, so that there is less pollution in the ocean, which is also a habitat for some of the endangered species. I think everyone should use credit cards, so that more paper also isn't wasted. One more thing is that all cars that are used on the road should be Hybrids or types of cars similar to those, so that we don't pollute the air with so much fumes and gases that can kill some of these animals that are endangered. =]
This article is very interesting because it shows you all the endangered species of animals. I originally had known that there were a lot, but not as much as 10,000+.
Wow! That is a lot of endangered species. I would have never guessed that there were that many. I think this was a really cool thing to post because not many people pay attention to how many endangered species there actually are.
Wow!! There are so many animals that are endangered, and it's our fault! It's good to know that we can help, though, by recycling, and reusing. Ava, carpooling is also a good idea, but if they didn't test products on animals, wouldn't it be worse to test them on humans, so the humans would die? There already are laws against poaching, but some people still do it anyway, for things like elephant's tusks.
It's sad that there are so many endangered animals. This list was so long, it took me almost 10 minutes to get to D! But there are ways to help them. Like Sinclaire said, we should stop cutting down lots of trees and dumping our waste into the ocean. Carpooling can also help because lees cars are on the road. Speaking of cars, the emissions from cars that run on gasoline can be bad for the health of animals. Everyone should do as much as they can to help these species, because they have just as much right to live as we do.
That's crazy how many animals are on that list! In Room two or three we did a beach cleanup, and if we did that more, think of how big a difference that would make! Have you ever been to a beach where you didn't want to swim because there's trash in the water? If we did a beach clean up, we would help keep trash out of the water, along with keeping all the bad plastics that would be washed into the water and pollute it. That would help all the fish be healthier, not just the ones on the endangered list!
I care very much about the Polar Bear because I still have my childhood stuffed Polar Bear and I have been donating lots of money to places that help conserve the polar bears and lots of other animals so that they can live a longer and better life
I can't believe so many animals are endangered! It is so sad, and I think everyone knows that the reason that every animal is endangered is because of us, people. It's so terrible, and I really want to help them. I think people could help them by only using re-useable water bottles, recycling everything that can possibly be recycled, not use so much electricity or paper, driving only in cars that aren't that bad for the Earth, (Hybrids) and also try to consume less animal and more fruits or vegetables.
Although hybrid cars pollute less, they take more carbon dioxide to build and are way more expensive. The world is in a financial downfall with the small exception of South American countries like Argentina and Brazil so by the time that we could go into mass production on Hybrids, many of the species would already be dead.
Wow. That list is way too long. There are so many Acropora Coral types too. It's a coral that lives in the sea. It's probably almost extinct because humans dump so much waste in the ocean, everything from plastic to feces. How sad...
I can't believe that there are SO many endangered animals. We should do a presentation and show it to Room 1 to teach them how many animals are endangered, and how we can help them!
This article really makes me think about what us humans are doing to the Earth. It makes me upset thinking about how many animals we could have saved from extinction. I think that government all over the world should crack down on poachers and hunters. This article was personally related to me because my primate from Anthropology was in the list. Let's all work together to save the planet!
I can not believe there are so many endangered animals. I was surprised when I saw some of them. I think that we should stop polluting the earth. For example, stop throwing trash on the ground. I think that we should also stop cutting down trees, like Sinclaire said.
Almost all the animals on the list are animals that I never heard of. I'm probably not the only one either. The only way we can make these animals not extinct would to be raise awareness to people about them. Almost everyone pollutes everyday. This is one of the causes that make the animals endangered. If we all just did one little eco-friendly thing, it would help them tremendously.
I swear it took me a minute to scroll through to the letter C! One thing I would like to point out is that many Zoo's have maybe 5 things on this list--max. I the majority of animals Zoo's have should be on this list. This would help public awareness for these animals and the Zoo's could breed them to help them stop being endangered. On the other hand, if all the animals in the world weren't endangered then the world would be full of these animals and we would have no space to live. I'm not saying that this would be a bad thing, but this is just from another perspective.
I can't believe that there are so many endangered animals. I agree with Sinclaire that a lot of the animals live in trees and we should stop dumping trash into the ocean. So many humans are oblivious to how these animals are barely surviving. We should make a club or something like that to help the animals on the list. We could post a website about why and how we should help the endangered animals. We could even go to the zoo or their natural home to study how they live and why they are endangered. Then, we would try to stop or may decrease them being killed or dying so quickly and in such large numbers. It would be a lot of work, but if you were really passionate about saving the animals, it might be a cool thing to do.

I know that they are endangered, and scientists believe that two thirds of the world's polar bears could disappear by 2500? That would be awful. I think the list might make people finally start taking action, since people can finally see how many animals are actually endangered, because of us.
I want to give my honest opinion- I don't think there are really as many animals that are endangered as you might think. For example, the Acropora Coral has (I'm not kidding) 95 types. These different types makes the list look long, but is actually not. However, I do think that NO animals should be endangered. It do think that it is sad, but I just wanted to give two different views of the story.
I only gave both views because I saw that all of the previous posts were in the sympathetic view of the endangered animals. I don't want anyone to think that I don't feel sorry about the animals. As quite a few people said, I believe we should form a club, perhaps even one for every country. Just a thought.
However, I don't think that what people have been saying, taking a lot of money to help these animals is a good idea. Here's why- taking this much money to help these animals will make us fall behind in technologies that will help us reduce waste, which will help these animals naturally. So by taking money out to help these animals, I think it's actually hurting them rather than helping them.
Wow, I never knew there were so many endangered animals! I found out that my primate for history is endangered. I wish everyone would stop dumping trash in the ocean and other horrible things like that, so we could help the animals live! And Cooper, I know everyone has said this but, the aren't extinct they are just endangered.
I just scrolled through 10081 endangered animal, it's amazing how many animals are being poached and killed. It would be more reasonable if that included plants, but no, it didn't. We should at least try to make that list much smaller.
This list was really creepy. I never ever thought that so many animals were endangered. I think we can all be more green to the planet to help save animals such as the polar bear. To help make our planet more green. We can limit our amount of waste, recycle and compost more, stop cutting down so many trees, and to help the ocean animals keep our oceans cleaner. Also people could try to get the word around about stopping poachers. Humans kill lots of animals for skin and meat.
We should really have a save the environment day or something like that. If we do have a day like that, we could all bring eco-friendly lunches and bring re-usable water bottles.

I have a way to save animals! We can stop using plastic bottles. If every person in US1 stopped using water bottles, we would save around 40 bottles a day! And 200 bottles a week! Did you know that around 60 million bottles a day are thrown away? And just in the U. S.! We should talk to Mrs. Simons banning plastic bottles!
Wow, I am so amazed to see that so many animals are endangered. Imagine what would happen to the food chain. I read somewhere that in the future, jellyfish will be the only species alive except maybe for us human-beings.
